Each of My Dental Care's dentists are fully trained to be at the forefront of any professional development in the industry. We regularly attend lectures as part of our ongoing professional development program and believe that good communication with patients is an essential part of our service.

Principal Dentist, Mark Marcou has gained both his reputation and a long list of dental patients by practising around Green Lanes for most of his professional life! After graduating from Guy's Dental Institute with a BDS in 1996, he worked locally before joining My Dental Care in 1998.

Mark took over the whole practice in January 2005 with the ongoing aim to progress in both clinical and non-clinical care. He immediately updated the technology, installing new equipment and a computer network,

Mark is focused on keeping My Dental Care up-to-date with the advances in modern dentistry. He is currently studying for, and will graduate in 2008 with, his MFGDP with the Royal College of Surgeons. He regularly attends postgraduate lectures, also travelling worldwide to attend seminars and spend time with some of the profession's eminent specialists.

Dr. Funmi Sijuwade (BDS) graduated from Nigeria's prestigious College of Medicine at University of Lagos School of Dental Sciences in 2000, and gained her GDC (General Dental Council) statutory qualification to practise in the UK.

Previous to joining My Dental Care in 2005, Funmi's extensive dental experience, included both hospital and general practice. She is currently studying where her special interests lie - for her post graduate certificate in Cosmetic and Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry. Also passionate about preventative care, Funmi says she is, "Dedicated to the provision of high standard quality dentistry with patient care being of paramount importance".

Irene Kaimakamis (BDS London) is a recent addition to My Dental Care. She trained at Guy's King's and St Thomas' Dental Institute in London, where she now teaches senior undergraduate dental students as a part-time Clinical Demonstrator.

Irene is currently in the process of obtaining her fellowship in MJDF with the Royal College of Surgeons. She has travelled as far as USA to attend the Chicago Midwinter Dental Conference. Her interests include cosmetic dentistry and minor oral surgery.

Mira Shah, Hygienist/Therapist (EDT)

Each of our dentists are registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) and adhere to the rules governing the profession as set out by them

Our team of nurses include, Kelly, Sylwia currently studying for a National Certificate in Dental Nursing and Sejal whose under-going her NVQ in Oral Health Care. All three, are soon to be registered with the General Dental Council, as fully trained dental nurses.

Front of house and organising your appointments, are our receptionists, Gill, who has been with My Dental Care for nearly 15 years - and Roulla.
